MatchesBrydon Carse is a hit-the-deck seamer from England who can also contribute with the bat down the order. Born in South Africa, Carse made his T20I debut in South Africa’s domestic circuit in 2014, aged only 19. However, that was the only professional game that he played in South Africa, as Carse moved to England later that year. Completing his residency requirements in 2019, Carse became a regular feature in Durham’s setup across formats. Eventually, he was summoned for ODI duties in 2021, when England had to replace their entire squad for the three-match series against Pakistan due to Covid. He finished the series with six wickets, including his maiden five-for. Since then, Carse has been a part of England’s ecosystem. He has played 14 T20Is, averaging 20.6 for his 20 wickets. In Tests, Carse has been a workhorse, evident in his exploits at the 2025/26 Ashes where he was the highest wicket-taker for England (22 wickets). Carse’s continued presence in international cricket brought him to the TATA IPL. Sunrisers Hyderabad signed him for the 2025 season before a toe injury ruled him out of the tournament. Fit again, Carse offers SRH a seam-bowling option with strapping pace and batting potential.
